October 2021 - May 2022 I was the Lead Designer and Art Director creating the EnterPsilo.com universe. I was in charge of creating 3 unique characters for our ambitious NFT/Metaverse project. The universe consists of the Tivali (our tiger character and hero of our story), the Gilamon (our lizard character and villain of our story) and the Droids (our artificial intelligence and neutral character of our story). I had the pleasure to work with a few amazing artists throughout the project. The Droids were completely designed by me and are my babies in this project. We aimed to create 8888 unique NFT images which originally consisted of 3 Characters, 13 classes and over 300 traits.
The Droid Narrow Intelligence (as seen below) were originally going to fill 1289 NFT's in the collection. To accomplish this number with all unique images, there are 7 different background colors, 9 different body colors, and 8 different traits for this class. The Narrow Intelligence are the grunt workers of our story. They are the garbage collectors, construction workers, plumbers, mechanics, etc. Their design elements are simple and functional. I really wanted these to stand out as unique in the collection so I chose fun and simple solid colors that would nod to modern day representations such as yellow with black stripes for construction, etc... I also wanted to do brand new versions and old/beat up versions that are all scratched, have graffiti tattoos (tattoos designed by Brandt Peters), covered in dirt and are missing or have replacement limbs. This class is my favorite in the collection and I love how they turned out. This was more than just a design project. It was extremely challenging to figure out how to create the image combination system and make sure it all looked amazing in the end. This was hands down one of the hardest projects I have ever created.
The Droid Narrow Intelligence are the second most common of Droids in the NFT collection. They are the second from the bottom class of the Droids and are here to keep Psilo (formally known as earth) clean, repair any problems and make sure everything is running smoothly. There are many of these in the collection, but I wanted to make sure the design is fun so anyone who receives one as their NFT loves what they get. Check out the collection on Opensea!!
